Baglietto - Project 10228 due for launch July 2018
Project 10228 by Italian yard Baglietto is taking shape ahead of a planned July launch. The yacht is structurally complete and ready to be painted and faired. The steel hull was joined to the aluminium superstructure and the engines installed last summer at the Baglietto's La Spezia facility.
This 47.6 metre displacement yacht will be the sistership to Andiamo, which was launched last year. Built to Lloyds standards, Baglietto 10228 features in-house naval architecture, a 9.5 metre beam and a total interior volume of less than 500GT. The T-Line 48 series stands out from the rest of the Baglietto range with reverse-angle glazing in the superyacht wheelhouse, which provides superior views from the helm station. Exterior styling is by Francesco Paszkowski Design, while the interiors will be created by the in-house Baglietto team.
Baglietto will fit a side-loading superyacht tender garage, leaving the transom free for a proper beach club area, complete with gym and hammam. The sundeck stretches across 140 square metres of deck space and boasts a spa pool, sunloungers and an al fresco dining table.
Project 10228 will feature 350 square metres of luxury living spaces. Accommodation for up to ten guests is split across five cabins, including a master suite, two doubles and two twin rooms with Pullman berths and the décor is described as 'classic and elegant'.
Power will come from a pair of Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines for a top speed of 16 knots. When cruising at 12 knots, Project 10228 will boast a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles, thanks to a total capacity of 80,000 litres.
